For two decades, Florida Renal Association (FRA) has served as the driving force behind Kidney Day in Tallahassee, a premier annual event dedicated to elevating the voices of patients and professionals alike. Each March, we bring the kidney community to the heart of the Florida State Capitol to engage directly with lawmakers. By sharing vital insights on the significance of dialysis treatment and kidney care, we ensure that our state’s budget and health policies reflect the real-world needs of those we serve.
This two-day event is more than just a meeting with legislators; it is a powerful, empowering experience that fosters a unified voice for meaningful change. From advocacy sessions on the 3rd floor of the Capitol to our collaborative Kidney Walk fundraiser co-hosted with the National Kidney Foundation of Florida, Kidney Day is our chance to educate, inspire, and make a lasting impact. We provide every participant with a strategic legislative agenda, ensuring our community is prepared to turn conversations into action for a healthier Florida.
