Director of Sales Florida, Gold Kidney Health Plan

Katie Strout is the Director of Sales in Florida for Gold Kidney Health Plan, a Medicare Advantage health plan organization offering Special Needs Plans tailored for individuals with chronic conditions that lead to kidney failure, such as diabetes, heart failure, and cardiovascular conditions, as well as those with ESKD and on dialysis. Katie is passionate about working alongside her team at a grassroots level to collaborate with insurance brokers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to educate the chronically ill about benefits and resources available to them that can slow their disease progression and improve their quality of life.

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Winona State University in Minnesota. She spent several years working as a social worker in skilled nursing facilities helping residents and their families acclimate and ensure their needs were being met. Over the past nineteen years, Katie has held various positions in the Medicare health insurance industry. She is dedicated to helping individuals on Medicare, including seniors and those with disabilities, to find a health insurance plan that meets their needs and supports them in living the healthiest life possible.

Katie is looking forward to partnering with all involved at the FRA to promote CKD awareness and to advocate for improved access and quality of care for CKD patients throughout Florida.
