Kidney Day Committee Chair
Abbey Folsom is a Licensed Nutritionist. Ms. Folsom manages all aspects of owner-operation of Nutrition Abbey. -A private clinical practice that serves the public sector through Statewide Medicaid Managed Care plans. With precise intention, Ms. Folsom brings nutrition access to the disability population. Ms. Folsom worked in primary care that serves nine nearby counties, where access to chronic disease management of diabetes and kidney disease is limited at best. As Florida State University alumna, Abbey holds both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nutrition and Food Science. Seventh generation Floridian, Abbey resides in Tallahassee. She understands nutrition politics at the Federal and State level as related to managed care. Abbey is enthusiastic to learn how the members of Florida Renal Association work as a unified voice for Floridians.
